All the Boys Love Mandy Lane

We went into this expecting one thing and walked out with something else entirely. Jumping from a John Hughe’s style film to a high school drama, to a slasher flick and ultimately something else entirely, Mandy Lane succesfully subverts the genres of the style (although you read this all the time, this time it’s true — there are twists and turns that you won’t see coming). With a largely unknown cast, this independent film impressed us with it’s quality production values, which rivaled many major studio films.
