Several months ago, uber-Bond director Martin Campbell (GOLDENEYE, CASINO ROYALE) was rumored to be taking over the reigns of G.I. JOE 3. While Campbell has been hanging around the TV arena since directing GREEN LANTERN, the man seemed like a solid choice to bring his style to the Joes. Well, it looks like we have another name to add to the list as word on the street is that Paramount is looking to D.J. Caruso as the man to bring Roadblock and crew to fruition in a third installment, according to Deadline.

Well this is fantastic, if not entirely unexpected, news. It turns out that Kyle MacLachlan will indeed be reprising his role as Special Agent Dale Cooper when a new season of Twin Peaks airs on Showtime in 2016. Director and co-creator David Lynch tweeted out a photo of him in costume just a little while ago, and that tidbit was followed up with an official confirmation from the network. Of course co-creator Mark Frost had previously hinted that we’d be seeing some recurring characters, but this is the first out and out confirmation that our favorite FBI agent will be returning.
