Rumor: Batman to Appear in ‘Suicide Squad’, Leading Up to His Own Solo Film

Source: /Film

Warner Bros.’s supervillain team-up Suicide Squad may be welcoming a major superhero to its cast. Rumor has it Ben Affleck’s Batman is set to appear in the film, which will then help set up his own solo outing.

The Batman Suicide Squad rumor — and it is just a rumor at this point — comes from Forbes. We previously heard from Latino Review (possible spoilers at the link) that Batman might be seen on a video monitor in the film, but Forbes now says the Caped Crusader will appear “in the flesh.” He’ll likely come near the end, in a scene involving the Joker (played by Jared Leto).

This, in turn, will lay the groundwork for a solo Batman outing which will have the Joker as the main villain. According to Forbes, the film will be based on Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns, which introduces Ellen Yindel as the new Gotham police commissioner.

X-Files-3-David-Duchovny

David Duchovny Would Be “More Than Happy” To Play Agent Mulder Again For The X-Files Return

Source: WeGotThisCovered

Over the past few years, it seemed more likely that the next incarnation of The X-Files would come in the form of a third feature film, but it looks to be that, should things go according to plan, Mulder and Scully’s next outing will be on the medium where it all began.

Chatter of a return to TV returned to the fore only a few days ago, when Fox CEO Gary Newman touched upon the possibility of resurrecting the seminal supernatural show back for a new season, stating that he was “hopeful of being able to bring it back at some point.”

Now, chances of a revival have been buoyed by David Duchovny (AKA Agent Mulder himself), who spoke of his eagerness to return to the show in an interview with USA Today.
Here’s what the actor had to say on the matter, stating that he would be…

“…more than happy and excited to bring it back and do it again with [co-star] Gillian and [series creator] Chris [Carter].” He added, “I’m assuming that it will happen sooner rather than later now.”

There is a caveat to that commitment, however, as Duchovny noted that he would only sign on for a limited amount of episodes.

“We’ll see what form, how many (episodes),” he said. “Certainly I can’t nor would I be interested in doing a full season. It will be in some kind of limited form. We’re all old, we don’t have the energy for a full season.”

Will We See The Grey “Savage Hulk” In AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON?

Source: ComicBookMovie

IGN Movies have come across the following image of a grey Savage Hulk, possibly confirming the inclusion of this iteration of the character in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Do the red eyes indicate that he’s under the control of the Scarlet Witch at this point? He was clearly green in the trailer during those scenes however, so it’s hard to say. This could just be a variant based on the comic books, but the fact he’s surrounded by figures from the movie makes me think otherwise! The Hulk was grey during his first appearance and has transformed into this version a number of times, including the period he was a Las Vegas enforcer known as Joe Fixit! What do you guys think?

Nicolas Cage is ‘Borat’ Director’s ‘Army of One’ to Hunt Bin Laden

Source: FirstShowing

There’s been a lot of terrible Nicolas Cage movies made over the past few years, and last year brought one of the worst with the new adaptation of Left Behind. But it sounds there might be a good one in the works, and it’s not just another action thriller. THR has word that Cage is slated to star in Army of One, a satirical comedy from Borat director Larry Charles about an average guy who decides to begin his own hut for Osama Bin Laden. And the film has some serious producer power behind it as Harvey and Bob Weinstein have struck a deal for the North American rights to the film through the TWC-Dimension banner.
