Watch This Year’s Best Super Bowl Commercials
Source: Collider
Almost as much of an event as the game itself is the bevy of commercials that air during the Super Bowl every year, which isn’t surprising given that it’s regularly the most watched television event of the year. With that many eyeballs on the same channel for an extended period of time (in the age of Netflix, Hulu, VOD, etc. audiences are more spread out than ever), various companies take the opportunity to tout their products in hopefully exciting and humorous ways.
Bryan Cranston Esurance
Liam Neeson Clash of Clans
Nick Offerman NASCAR
Danny Trejo SNICKERS
The Today Show BMW “What Is Internet?”
Jeff Bridges Squarespace
Mindy Kaling Nationwide
Directed by Doug Liman
Nationwide: “Make Safe Happen” (a.k.a. “The One with the Dead Kid”)
[Note from Matt: This isn’t one of the “best” ads. It’s by far the worst, but that means it’s also the one most people will be talking about.]
‘Heroes Reborn’ Super Bowl Trailer: The Extraordinary Returns
Source: ScreenRant
NBC’s announcement that it was bringing back its seminal superhero drama Heroes back for a 2015 miniseries called Heroes: Reborn caused quite a surge of excitement. The show was a milestone – a serious network drama about people with super powers – but decreases in quality with each subsequent season resulted in a waning fanbase, even amongst the most loyal viewers.
Now with Super Bowl XLIX we are getting our first Heroes: Reborn trailer, helping us get our first inkling about what the miniseries will be about.
Watch This Funny Trailer For Harry Potter, If Directed By Edgar Wright
Source: CinemaBlend
Have you ever thought what it would be like if Harry Potter was recut in the style of Edgar Wright’s Scott Pilgrim vs. The World? The story about the “Boy Who Lived” does sort of have similar story elements to make this possible. There’s a love element, there are seven things that need to be squashed and there’s plenty of comic book-style action worthy of some graphic onomatopoeia. Well, some creative YouTube-r mashed both films together in one crazy cool video.
