what i dont understand is why do they still release Fullscreen version of movies for DVD....???? if that the case get the VHS...

at least here in my country no Fullscreen DVD are released anymore, unless if the director wanted to, like the Stanley Kubrick DVD collection.....

death to fullscreen video, death to interlacing, death to VHS....:butt:

Its cose that alot of ppl are still stuck on 4:3 and don't like the blank bars. Everyone knows that Widescreen is better but ppl like the movie. Oh well.... FULLscreen will be phased out soon.

Nice extras ... but the artwork ... not that good. Well, not every DVD can have an artwork like a criterion release, huh?

No, the artwork isn't that good. Plus I hate plastering "Widescreen Special Edition" at the top. It's very distracting. I've always hated when they do that.

what i dont understand is why do they still release Fullscreen version of movies for DVD....????

Isn't it possible to set your DVD player so that the aspect ratio of the movie is 4:3, without having to buy the fullscreen version? Are people just not aware of this?

Stupid fullscreen DVDs...:upset:

Fullscreen releases are put out to make more money, especially when the Spiderman DVD encourages more people to buy DVD players. Those folks who don't know about widescreen would be wondering what the big black bars were doing in their favourite movie...
