I've heard a lot of bas reviews for this film, yet I thought it was OK. Not the best film ever made, but like the games it had some tension and a fair ammount of cheap shocks. I gave it 3/5.

i didn't like the stupid film. ooooo........naked booby & naked crotch shots of milla. eh. it ONLY got interesting when the movie hit the end where she's out on the street....LIKE THE GAME....i wanna see the real action, where the game craze began. not in some lab underground. bleh.

Yeah, I agree with youn steaming, the next one will be need more action to feed the fans. The first one was not that bad, but not a big movie like I was expecting. But guys, Milla was so remarkable in all is beauty!!!

i loved the soundtrack.. and was really impressed with some of the editing.. but it tried to be too much

thriller/sci-fi/slasher/action

it should have just stayed with the sci/fi action angle and it would have worked even better :D

I wasn't overly taken with the movie - I wasn't given what I expected I guess, like oms others here, I expected what the first game was like.....but oh well, I am madly in love with Milla, so I was happy to all of Milla's beauty....

I LOVE THIS MOVIE!! so im not one of em :P i actually saw it 2 months b4 its release in the states went to one of those free screenings IT WAS AWESOME free movie on one of my favorite video games

i loved the movie...went to the previews and met the director there aswell.....he had already started writing the first draft for the second script by then.......he also gave out info at the time tht he lookin in da future to make predator vs aliens or summit like that...........wasnt too sure about tht...but basically he sed all the usual stuff like number 2 is gona b bigger and better...obviously...........shame tht he aint directing the second movie

I liked the movie. I've learned that when you watch a movie that's based on a game, it's usually best if you don't think too much about how they're related.

For example, Mortal Kombat (first one), and Tomb Raider were enjoyable romps if you weren't a die hard fan of the games. The gamers out there just complained about how the movie didn't live up to their expectations. Here's a thought, don't try to set your expectations too high.


Anyways, back to RE. I think it could have been made a little bit creepier. They could have capitalized on the scariness of a single zombie a little more, rather than resorting to tons of them. (think Alien => Aliens) Things are scarier when you can't see them than when you see a lot of them.

Anyway, 4/5

I think the fact that the Hive was the setting was a good idea, especially since it was the first one. I think it had plenty of action and it appealed to all of those who played the game.

I enjoyed the movie. Obviously as a fan of the game, I'm disappointed they didn't follow the storyline. It would have been good enough. I really love the games. But as a movie on its own it's entertaining. I like the CGI and special effects and stuff.
I'm hoping part 2 would be more like the game with tons of scares and action and a more creepier atmosphere.

The Resident Evil movies are my favourite films. Can't wait for the afterlife and the 4th.

I'm in here as well I enjoyed both movies I probably enjoyed the First one a little bit more then the second, but the second was slightly better action wise. anyway I wouldn't have bought them on DVD if they weren't any good to begin with. When I bought the first one I only paid $2.60 for it :evil: but I had to pay full price for the second :( anyway they are both good if you were to adverage out a raiting between the both of them it would be roughly a 3.5 out of 5 for both.

Apocalypse is HORRIBLE. Resident Evil is all right, except it's gaps in editing in certain sequences makes it a little hard to understand.
