does anyone else get pissed of when a "making of..." only contains alot of clips from the move, an interview with some cast member, perhas a few word from the director, an overvoice says what the movie is about and crap like that?

a making of feature should be about HOW they made the movie. The kind of effects used, how they did different stuff and so on.

Like the Making of "The Abyss" that is on the Double DVD release.

And what also pisses me of is when there is like 12 different SMALL features, MAX 10 minutes, and u get so see the same material ATLEAST 5 times.
Someone in the production team of the extra features should really look though the stuff before reliaced. Seeing the same stuff in NO FUN. dosent matter if its good or not. If it says 2 hours of bla bla bla, i want 2 hours of stuff. not 1 hours where u see verything twice.

anyone with me on this one or am i just grumpy?

i'm w/ ya. every DVD i've got that has making of or behind the scene- i find it so boring. it has maybe just a couple of cool parts. but that's it. it shows what the trailer shows and like ya said- any cast or crew talk bout their characters or job. that's pretty much it.

i liked the making of.. on the mummy returns. if ya havent seen it- there's a close-up of the rock and he winks at the camera! :yum:

The two-disc set of LOTR does this quite a bit. It seems all the "making-of" came from the same footage.
