In a press release today, Universal revealed that in addition to the October 15 release of Law & Order Season One on DVD, the studio is also prepping a whole bunch of their popular TV shows for release on the format.

On the Sci-Fi side, look for DVD releases of Battlestar Galactica, Quantum Leap, Earth: The Final Conflict and Sliders. For classic TV buffs Universal has Dragnet, Magnum P.I., Emergency and The Rockford Files on the way. No release dates were mentioned for any of the series.

Finally, Universal announced that on October 29 the complete first season of Beretta would hit DVD on a three-disc set for a MSRP of $39.98 along with a "Best of Beretta disc" for $19.98. No word on whether or not the proceeds from the DVD releases will go to Robert Blake's defense fund.

QL goes by seasons. It has a total of 5 seasons with about 22 episodes each season. First sesaon only has 9 episodes.

There is talks now of a new QL series being made on SciFi. Right now... SciFi is deciding to make a 2 hour movie based on QL if this will be the pilot to the new series is still not known. WIth awesome new spfx it should be a series very cool to come.

On another note, SciFI is going to make a action series based on the trilogy Tremors. Loved the first movie. A series should spawn very well.
