View Full Version : Predict Box Office - Scary Movie 4
Jean-Pierre Bazinet 04-11-2006, 06:16 PM Predict the weekend box office numbers for Scary Movie 4 opening this weekend.
(note that .1 means anything over zero
ie: 10,000,000 = 10 Million --- 10,000,001 = 10.1 Million)
j7wild 04-11-2006, 07:11 PM this franchise is getting tiring yet #3 did $48 million during its opening week; but at the same time it's going up against Ice Age 2 and the Wild.
So I give it 35 million!!
red_wine 04-12-2006, 03:07 AM Yep. The quality does seem to be going down but they are still a lot of fun, especially while watching with a large group of friends. Normally I dont like such kind of movies(I prefer serious dramas), but Scary Movie 1 was absolutely outrageous and cheap and fun.
Besides, I'm looking forward to that scene where Tom Cruise (Tom Ryan that is) goes bonchos at Oprah and jumps the couch!

Mithrandir01 04-12-2006, 03:13 AM someone have real video from this Oprah with Tom Cruise. Here in Poland we don't have such a fantastic entertainment.
michalz00 04-12-2006, 03:32 AM Oh yes, we do have it on cable... But we are not watching it... :)
Mithrandir01 04-12-2006, 03:36 AM Who have cable, who? I didn't use my TV since Oscar night. I have only 3 channels polish public TV.
michalz00 04-12-2006, 03:38 AM I have it. But I'm only watching 3 channels :)
Mithrandir01 04-12-2006, 03:41 AM You see? Tens of zloty only for 3 channels. I have also 3 channels and pay nothing. ;)
Which channels you're watching?
michalz00 04-12-2006, 03:44 AM TVN24 (news channel) MTV (when they play music videos) and Discovery Channel (when I can't sleep).
Mithrandir01 04-12-2006, 03:50 AM and Discovery Channel (when I can't sleep).
uuuu... I love Discovery and Animal Planet :boo:
sometimes I have chance to watch that channels.
st39.6 04-12-2006, 05:04 AM ah, I watch HBO, HBO2, Anime+, CNBC (Late night with...), CNN, sometimes MTV (music only) and our public chanels (5)
I tend to gravitate toward the SciFi channel
red_wine 04-14-2006, 02:25 PM I live in India and they serve us absolute garbage in appalling quantities. In the prime time slot, we mostly have weepy soap operas with the most twisted plots you could imagine that any self-respecting person would abhor. Nevertheless, as you may have guessed, their popularity touches the sky.
On the brighter side, we have plenty of good channels too. I like watching BBC, CNN, HBO, Star Movies, AXN, MTV, History Channel, Star Sports and ESPN. We have to approximately pay $7.5 per month for these channels and it is considered theft in daylight over here.
What do you guys pay for TV?
j7wild 04-14-2006, 05:21 PM I just came back from watching this piece of trash #@$%@ !!

No winners.
red_wine 04-18-2006, 10:31 AM WOW! Scary Movie 4 did whopeee business. Who would have thought that people would flock out in such large numbers to watch a spoof.
So I guess we'll be seeing Scary Movie 5, 6, & 7 atleast.
