LAS VEGAS - Pop star Britney Spears (news) marched down the aisle in Las Vegas on Saturday, marrying a childhood friend from Louisiana, according to news reports.

The 22-year-old diva married Jason Allen Alexander early Saturday at the Little White Wedding Chapel on the Strip, according to People.com, the online arm of the Time Warner publication. He is from Kentwood, La., it said.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported on its Web site that Spears and Alexander, 22, were granted a marriage license, citing an affidavit of Application for Marriage License filed Jan. 3.

Calls to Spears' representatives were not immediately returned.

The bride wore jeans and baseball cap, according to People.com, and had a hotel bellman walk her down the aisle.

People.com reported that Spears and Alexander journeyed to the Little White Wedding Chapel after a stop at the Ghostbar, a club in the Palms Casino Hotel. It reported that the chapel staff told the couple that they couldn't get married without a license, so they were reportedly taken by the limo to the Clark County Marriage Bureau office in the downtown Las Vegas courthouse. They applied for and were granted the marriage license, then driven back to the chapel, where they were married.

Spears released her fourth album "In the Zone" in November. It debuted at the top of the album charts. She begins a concert tour March 2 in San Diego.

wasn't she still crying over justin timberlake a few weeks ago. i assume she was a couple with this jason alexander for at least a few months before marrying, so if i was him i would have taken that crying over the ex publicly as an insult and wouldn't marry her.

But on Sunday People.com quoted a source close to Spears as saying the wedding was a joke that went too far and the singer was already planning an annulment.

"I don't know what's going through her mind," the Web Site quoted "someone close to Spears" as saying.

But since that's the type of insanity reserved for regular idiots, Britney will of course super size it. In Touch Magazine is reporting that Britney:

"...will deliver her baby in a special pool filled with 1,000 one-liter bottles of specially blessed Kabbalah water costing a whopping $3,800!"

The odds of this ending in tragedy can only be expressed in a previously uninvented percentage that's above 100. If Kevin somehow manages to not flick his cigarettes out in the bath water - and that's a big if, lets not kid each other - he'll almost certainly electrocute Britney and the baby somehow. Dropping the camera seems a strong candidate. And I don't mean to sound like a complete monster, but so be it, since the world needs these two idiot hillbillies to have a kid like we need the return of fire breathing dragons.

I'm going to say this again... I have no frickin clue what she sees in Kevin. He's UGLY and GROSS! What's wrong with her? Have she gone insane?

And a baby? She's young and famous. So she's gonna stop all that and have a baby? I know that some girls say they want to be a young mom. And I can understand that. But I'd rather enjoy my young years than be trapped in that grounded life when I want to go out and travel and have fun.

And there are truckloads of people out there who attempt things they think they're capable to handle but they don't, cos they just can waste their time and pointless efforts to try: either starting a family, getting dental braces, making a movie, making 'music', or monopolizing an online community.

I agree with editman. That is kinda shallow radstar if you think like that. Since when were looks the priority in a relationship? (if ur not a teenybob) There is always someone out there that likes the unusual. Movie-List is just proof of the unusual. Bunch of people that like certain targeted advertising. I'm one of them!

But having a baby and raising one is very important in life. That is just selfish to think you put yourself before a baby and/or relationship. I'm happy to see she rather place her career on hold to accommodate a bigger love in life. But it is easier to be a younger mum then to be an older mum where it becomes more difficult to have a baby. We ain't gettin' any younger!

Shallow and selfish? Just by not understanding what she sees in him? I do not go by looks ever. I don't judge its book by its cover. I watched Chaotic Life, a reality show with Brittney Spears and Kevin. He does nothing. He's living off of her. And what's wrong with shaking my head at them? He could do better. So could she. But people like me say this all the time and it doesn't make much difference, does it? My folks think my boyfriend doesn't deserve me. That I could do better. But what do they know right? What's wrong with having an opinion?

And selfish because I don't want a baby right now? I'm not understanding you. I'm not putting myself above any of these people. It tend to get late before people realize they should've waited before settling down and having a baby. I have it happened around me so many times. A couple of friends got married at 20 and are now 23 and have 2 kids. They're the most unhappiest couple I've seen and they couldn't wait to get married 3 years ago. She stays at home and raise kids. He works and CANNOT hang out with his friends because his wife says so.

So I'd rather wait till I'm older. My awesome friend is 5 months pregnant and I'm happy for her. I don't yell at her and say ARE YOU FRICKIN INSANE? SHe made her choice and I respect that. But it doesn't mean I would have to agree with her choice, does it? Is that really selfish of me? Whatever...

The singer underwent a caesarean at Santa Monica's UCLA Medical Center, near Los Angeles, according to the magazine US Weekly and television show "Access Hollywood."

Britney, 23, and her husband Kevin Federline announced the pregnancy in April.

Reports suggest that they will call the baby either London Preston or Preston Michael. Her top name for a girl was Addison Shye.

It is the first child for Britney, while Kevin, 27, has two young children -- Kori, three, and one-year-old Kaleb -- with ex-girlfriend, Shar Jackson.

Last month, the singer revealed: "I have a feeling I'm going to have an operation. I don't know why but I hope so.

"My mom said giving birth was the most excruciating thing she's ever gone through in her life. So if a caesarian doesn't happen, I'll be like, 'Epidural, please.' "

The star, who has sold more than 60 million albums, has made no secret of her wish to start a family and has said she can see herself as a mother.

Shortly after tying the knot in a private ceremony last September, she announced she would be taking a break from music to enjoy married life and focus on motherhood.

"I've had a career since I was 16, have traveled around the world and back and even kissed Madonna," she wrote on her Web site.

"The only thing I haven't done so far is experience the closest thing to God and that's having a baby. I can't wait."

Britney hosted a Moroccan-themed baby shower at her Malibu home last month.

According to California Highway Patrol, Spears drove for at least two miles along the Pacific Coast Highway in the oceanfront area of Malibu on Monday.

A source close to Spears, 24, told Highway Patrol Officers that the incident occurred after the singer had driven to a Starbucks shop.

She moved the baby to her lap after stopping at the coffee shop to let her bodyguard go inside, then became unnerved as photographers swarmed around the vehicle as she waited for him to return, the source said. When the bodyguard got back in the car, Spears quickly drove off with her son still in her lap.

"I had a horrifying, frightful encounter with the paparazzi while I was with my baby," Spears said in a statement issued through her publicist. She said Monday's episode reminded her of an incident last summer in which she was "trapped" in her car by a throng of photographers.

"I instinctively took measures to get my baby and me out of harm's way, but the paparazzi continued to stalk us, and took photos of us which were sold to the media," she said. "I love my child and would do anything to protect him."

Under California law, young automobile passengers are required to be secured in a child-safety seat or booster seat until they are at least 6 years old or weight at least 60 pounds.

Let me see if I can understand Britney's way of thinking:

The paparazzi's fallowing me, so I'm just gonna grab my baby and put him on my lap, in the front seat, without a seatbelt, where the photographers can see it clearly. Then I'm gonna drive with only one hand. And in case of emergency, my baby will be right in front of me so when I fall in the front, on top of him with my layers of fat, he will be protected.

Britney Spears’ baby boy recently fell and bonked his head, but the singer reportedly thinks a high chair might be to blame.

A nanny was taking the seven-month-old tot from his high chair earlier this month when “something snapped,” according to a report in People magazine.

Baby Sean Preston was taken to the hospital, where he was deemed okay, but now Spears is looking into suing the maker of the chair, according to In Touch Weekly. “The chair’s back broke,” a “family insider” explained to the mag. “She’s going to see if there was a fault in the chair.”

Meanwhile, Shar Jackson — the mother of two children by Spears’ hubby, Kevin Federline — reportedly doesn’t have great faith in Spears’ mothering abilities.

“Shar told Kevin that Britney can’t be alone with their kids,” a source told the mag. “Shar said that if Kevin wants to see their kids, he and Britney must do it at a hotel. “She doesn’t know what goes on at their house and there are too many strangers hanging around.”

Sure Britney, blame your lack of motherly skills on a high chair!!

Britney Spears was leaving the Ritz Carlton in New York City last Thursday, with a drink in one hand and her baby in the other, when she tripped and almost dropped Sean Preston. His head dropped back and his hat fell off before Britney finally regained her balance. After the incident Spears said, "This is why I need a gun."

I'm not entirely sure how Britney owning a gun would prevent her from dropping her baby.

Afterward, she went into a restaurant with an unidentified friend and broke down into tears, trying to cover up her crying by shielding her face with Sean Preston.

I would like to feel bad for her, but crying doesn't make up for being a horrible parent.

Also I think it's time for her to own up to her mistakes; that baby should have been in a baby carrier in the first place.

Furthermore, her happiness means nothing when compared to the well being of her child.

The baby bobble was the latest public incident involving the safety of Spears' child.

2 weeks ago, she was photographed driving with Sean Preston in a car seat facing forward rather than facing backward.

This is a violation of Section 27360 of the California Vehicle Code, which says child safety seats must be installed properly to comply with the federal standard.

Spears, who recently announced that she's pregnant with her second child, was visited by a sheriff's deputy at her home in Malibu, Calif., last month after Sean Preston slipped from his nanny's arms as she was lifting him from a high chair.

Spears and her nanny blamed the incident on something in the chair that snapped.

In February, authorities visited Spears' home after photos showed the singer driving her SUV with her son in her lap, instead of being strapped to a car seat in the back seat. That's the worst kind of racial generalisation one can come across. Have you ever been to Japan, j7wild? Have you ever been to EVERY bookstore in Japan and saw that in every single one of them hentai comics are being sold? If not, then you are basically saying, without any solid proof, that hentai comics dominate the Japanese literature/culture, which is not true.

It's like saying all Italians are shorties not taller than 5 ft 5 with dark-coloured skin and hairy all over.

As for the controversy behind the poster, it can happen anywhere - in Japan, in Africa, in Europe, in Australia or in the US. It's not that because a country's conservative in general. For the subway system authority, putting the picture of a nude woman up in public places is exposing themselves to the risk of receiving complains from those who may be offended. They made a choice and realised later on that they overreacted.

Not a big deal. It seems to be one only because the woman in the picture happens to be Britney Spears.

yes I've been to Japan several times and I seen those adult Hentai comics being sold;

and I seen school kids and working men and women just standing in front of the racks of these comics reading them as if they were at a public library;

and these Hentai comics do dominate the Japanese culture both in print and in anime dvd and in video games from the softcore to the extremely explicit.

As a matter of fact, they have video games that are made in Japan and only sold in Japan for the Playstation 2 and XBox 360 because of the explicit content dealing with scandily dressed and nude women and violence.

No, you're missing the point.

I am not saying there's no hentai comics/anime/video game in Japan. I question whether it's a mainstream domination of the Japanese literature/culture, and my belief is no. For despite its significance, it's only one of many, MANY genres in Japanese mangas/literature.

Just because you saw Japanese people reading hentai mangas off the shelf, or vending machines selling porn, doesn't mean ALL Japaneses accept nudity displayed in public places. Not all people in Japan who utiltise the public train system live in the regions where hentai materials are easily accessible, or won't be offended/intimidated by nudity (as if I'm thinking in the heads of the authority people). That's why the Spears poster raised their concerns.

It's like saying 'go to any bar in Holland and you can buy hash', as if 1) every bar in Holland sells hash, and 2) every Dutch, or the majority of them, find the use of marijuana acceptable.

As for the poster, no matter who it is, pregnant women are beautiful Obviously that poster has been air brushed and such but still looks great.

What country was it that a big poster of Cindy or Claudia semi naked advertising some underwear was taken down because it caused too many accidents on the road where it was standing.

Lindsay Lohan is reportedly pissed because while shopping at Madison over the weekend a swarm of paparazzi suddenly ditched her to chase after Britney Spears and Paris Hilton as they drove by. And to get back at them she allegedly followed them around blasting K-Fed's new album.

"All the photographers just took off running after Britney and Paris," the eyewitness tells Star. "And you could see Lindsay pop her head out of the shop and start looking around like, 'What the hell just happened?'"

But insiders tell Star that Lindsay tried to extract her own kind of revenge by driving around town and blaring Kevin Federline's CD! In fact, things really got tense when Lindsay pulled up behind Britney and Paris at Teddy's on Wednesday night and purposely cranked up the volume, making sure the pap video cameras standing outside could pick up the tune. "Then she had the nerve to come inside the club and try to hang out with Britney and Paris," our insider said. "But the duo gave her the cold shoulder until she removed herself from their VIP table."

Later in the evening, friends said Lindsay was singing Kevin's praises as an artist an actually said she thought he was so sexy, she wouldn't mind "hooking up with him," sometime. The rumor got back to Britney, who could only roll her eyes at the news. "Take him," she told the table of friends. "Tell her please, seriously, take him!"

I wish to God this is true, but keep in mind the source is Star. You'd get more accurate reporting from a crazy homeless man's diary or a Bazooka Joe comic.

Last night Lindsay Lohan claimed Paris Hilton hit her in the arm with a drink while they were at a friend's house, saying:

Is Britney doing the right thing?

She has been seen lately partying all over Los Angeles and Hollywood with Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan.

Paris and Lindsay are being a bad influence on Britney; they are showing her how to not wear any panties so the Papparazzi can take upskirt photographs of her.

I just came across some pretty candid photographs of Britney getting out of a car and showing everything under her skirt (for family reason, I will not post those photos here but try Google).

When Britney was still married and even before she was married and still singing, you will never had seen her going around not wearing panties and not minding letting the Papparazzis taking upskirt photographs of her.

She is doing this to get publicity again and distance herself from K-Fed as fast as possible but no matter how she justifies it, I don't think this is the way for her to do it.

Paris and Lindsay do not have the best reputation you know!!

7 pm: Britney went to a hair salon on Ventura Blvd in the San Fernando Valley. Apparently she had called someone from the salon, which was closed, to come back and open the doors just for her. Our photographers say she was crying in the car for ten minutes before she went inside -- you can even see wet tear stains on her sweatshirt. She then went inside and did the deed herself -- picking up the shears and shaving her head.
