View Full Version : Two Towers Trialer music???
Does anyone know what piece of music is used in the 2nd half of the full Two Towers theatrical trailer? It is such a powerfull score for those images. I hope its from the TTT score, so that it will turn up on the soundtrack.
BTW-any word on the next Trailer Survivor?

OOHHHH NOOOO!! I'm so disappointed, I thought that music in the 2nd half of the trailer was going to be in TTT. It sounds so good and is perfect... oh well, I'm sure Howard Shore will do a good job nonetheless.
 :(

I had impetigo once, got me out of school for like a week. Thankfully it didn't scar.
Thanks Tisoy,
But, I checked out both of those tracks, and while they are oviously the song, they aren't the version that is used in the trailer. Was the trailer one done just for it, or does this third version exist somewhere?
Thanks

Here is some info about this music (from www.theonering.net):
'Requiem' Music on Two Towers Trailer
Xoanon @ 12:43 pm EST
Josph writes: I found this on a Clint Mansell ('Requiem for a Dream' composer) website, it deals with the music for the new trailer.
It's been the talk of the net for the past week or so, and we can officially reveal the truth! the main theme from requiem for a dream has indeed been re-recorded for use in the lord of the rings: the two towers trailer.
Clint is really pleased with the results - three short pieces were re-recorded with a full orchestra and choir for use in different trailers. the theme is unlikely to be used in the film.

First of all...no one has asked for this song for 3 whole years...and it was pointless to bring such an old topic back!!
and next...please read the rules here about filesharing....it is not allowed anymore on these forums...
next...welcome to these forums :)

I got that song be using a recording program to strip the audio from a music video I found online. If you do a google search for "Requiem for a Tower" you might be able to find that video. It was a sort of anime video. I've actually discovered that you can get quite a few trailer songs by stripping the audio from videos found on Animemusicvideos.org, so you might want to try there.
The song you are looking for is a special remix based on clint mansell's requiem for a dream theme, done exclusively for the TTT trailer, you won't find it on the "Requiem for a dream" OST nor will you find it on the TTT OST. As I said it's exclusively done.
The name of that particular song is "lux aeterna"

I actually found that song featured in several music videos on Animemusicvideos.org. Just do a search by Artist and select Clint Mansell. A good technique I've found for stripping the audio is download the video and import it into Windows Movie Maker (which should have come with your computer if you have XP), then putting it on the timeline, copying the audio track, removing the video from the timeline, and pasting the audio into the music track. Hit save and you've got a perfect quality wma file of the music from the video.
