Probably was poor judgement - but poor judgement costs lives and there is no excuse. At the very least they should dangle him out a balcany.

It's only because the society, morals and traditions branded certain behaviours undesirable, so when someone commit such behaviours they are condemned by the set of rules embraced by the majority.
