Recently i dl The Abyss - Special Editon, The length of the file is 706 MB, so i must burn it to 90min CD. OK, now the problem - when i try already burned file to copy to HD there is an audio length of 17 min. P.s - I didn' burn it in Audio mode, and i use Nero 5.5.10.0

you do realize that you need to convert your 706mb avi file into a probably much larger mpeg file if you're watching it as a VCD/SVCD....are you?

If you're trying to burn the AVI to CD and watch it on your DVD player (VCD), then you first need to convert it to VCD format.
AVI format will not play properly.

If you're trying to play it on your computer (through MediaPlayer), and you are only getting audio, then you are most likely missing a codec.

With ZUBi' s help we solved that one!!!

Finally traced down the problem with the old divx311 encoded avi files. They were opening as an audio-only file because the WM ASF Reader loaded them without reporting any error. Was it confusing divx311 with msmpeg4? But why was it loading it from an avi container:big grin: :big grin:

You can't. Maximum 703. But you can burn 825 MB on a 800 MB CD. :butt:
