screenshots from Shiny's upcoming PC/GameCube/Xbox/PS2 action game based on the upcoming Matrix movie sequels. Enter the Matrix is slated for release in May 2003, along with "Reloaded" movie.

Instead of completely following the story arc of the films, "Enter the Matrix" has its own plot and storyline written exclusively by the Wachowskis that manages to parallel the action of the films and takes the stories further. The brothers even shot unique motion-capture footage with the film's principle actors for the game and also wrote special dialogue!

Looks like Max Payne but with Matrix characters, more crisp 2 ! nice acrobatics (these are PC version screenies)

I like most 'Movie to Game' games. But sometimes they come out earlyer than the movie. Much like most of the Star Wars games, and for me they end up runinning the movie for me.

But the CG looks very good. :cool:

It is to my understanding that the movie and game will be released the same day and by seeing/playing both, you will see how the stories cross back and forth over each other. Should be great.

Well, I've already made my plans for the day The Matrix comes out... Buy tickets before the movie comes out so I can see it the first day on the local UltraScreen - 75 foot-wide screen with THX and both Dolby Digital and DTS. ^_^
Then, the day the movie and the game comes out, I go to Best Buy so I'm there right when it opens, so they don't run out of the game for the XBox and pick it up.
Then, go and see the movie, and go home and play the game... and then I'll probably end up seeing it again in a few days!

I think I've done ya one better... I've arranged for a school trip so that all my friends and I can see it before anyone else(outside our classes) AND not have to skip to do it. Pretty Shibby, no?

Hm..i am not so the Movie Game Fan but when it comes to the matrix i think i will buy this game and then play it severel times....looks like a max payne kung fu game...and the slow motion effects are just awsome.....:rolleyes:

PC.IGN.Com are reporting that the upcoming Enter the Matrix game will come on 6 CD-ROM discs.

Can you PC gamers cope with a 6-disc version? Guess what? It'll cost "more," too. Infogrames reps didn't bust out the specifics, but we do know the PC version will be somewhat pricier than its console counterparts. So, can you cope? It looks like you'll have to. Time to clear up your games rack, I guess. The game is now only one month away from its May 15th, 2003 worldwide release. Is this the future for high-content PC games over the next couple of years? We'll see.

Enough. Start using DVDs allready. :upset:

Thats why i ordered a ps2 version....

I'm very sorry to dissapoint those of u who have plans for May 15th. Let me tell u something - after watching this movie u will be stuck in your seat for 6 hours, paralyzed from it's awesome power, then u will get up and go steal the reel so u can somehow see it again. After drpping off the reel at home u will go back and beg the theathre to let you see more - even if it's a blank screen it's still part of the movie. So don't plan anything

As for the game, the PS2 version screenshots dissapointed but the PC is looking good.

Well the ps2 version looks good to me... and if someone like the super duper 11000% real graphics play unreal tournament or wait for doom....
THe Handling for the game is developed for the ps2 :-)
But the Pc Version will be the best what did you expect ??

For the Pc Version there will be 7 Discs...

I don't have objections to the story, because i am big fan of Matrix franchise.One of the worst things is a detail on cars>THEY HAVE SQUARE WHEELS.I have waited this game for so long and now....It is strange that so many people worked on this project, and the result is this miserable game.Maybe someone will like this game.i tried it in 1280x1024 32bit with 4x antialiasing and still it didn't look impressive.And one more thing - when you use bullet time it's even worse.
Only thing that i like is fighting and high quality movies .

i mean that the graphic is not unreal tournament or doom graphic that is clear..
it is a game that doesnt need such a graphic to be sucsess...
It is the Gameplay/Story and the connection to the Movie that makes the game play able ..and dont forget it is only a game from the Movie...
But when i get it i will post my opinion....

no well actually it came out today for all systems, same date as movie ;)

I just got it today for my X-Box. I played it for about a couple of hours now. This game kicks butt. I would have to say, it makes Devil May Cry look like an amateur game. I started messing around in the hacking option, it was kinda fun. This game was worth waiting for.

You shouldn´t play it on "easy"..

Very dissapointing game. Bad not-detailed graphics has level of year 2000. Even car's wheels are square! Of all "exclusive" footage there's only one scene worth watching (two kissing trucks), but even it was taken from movie.

OK either you're playing the PS2 version or have a crummy video card. I think the graphics are great... they could be a little better but FAR from bad. The gameplay has kept me addicted and I basically only have a few small complaints. The sewer level is WAY too long, and some of the levels get a little boring at times, but besides that this game kicks complete ***!
Right now I'm playing using Niobe (VERY interesting live action cut scene involving Persephone :angel" ) and I'm currently on the half-built skyscraper level where the Agents keep coming... I'm stuck on that part where you're on the scaffolding and have to jump a level down, I keep falling.
I cannot wait for The Matrix Online that's coming next year.

I'm playing PC version and I have good video card. And graphics of this game is not even close to Mafia or Vice City. May be you think that square wheels looks great, but I'm not. And not only I alone. If you will look thru gamesites, you will notice this game has terrible reviews, both by editors and gamers. The story is very average. Main heroes of this game are third-level characters of Matrix Reloaded, enough said.

I also have Vice City and sorry but the graphics in that are only slightly better.
I have an nVidia GeForce 4 128MB DDR AGP Ti 4200 8X just so you know what I'm playing these on.

I was so loving this game when I got it, but it doesn't last. Graphics are fine and that's no reason to bag them, but there's just too much repetition in the main game. After the excitement of reliving the lobby shootout and all the events that followed I got fed up of Bullet Time just like with Max Payne and I simply run around shooting. The camera is attrotious, the controls subpar, but a few levels offer a little variety. I like the sections where you get to shoot out of the car window, but the driving sections are among the worst I've played. Howerver I did like the vampire level.

I loved the lobby level... damn... actually shooting up those pillars, it was so great.

i made to the end and i resold it on ebay :D cause this game isn't good as they promised :upset: i give this game a average funfactor of 78%. as tisoy so nice said "it's overhyped!" and in the end it is.

i am yet to decide whether or not its worth the investment (hardware) and software.. only time shall tell

They also have a confirmation that "Shiny Entertainment is currently hard at work on its upcoming project, a sequel to the groundbreaking Enter the Matrix."

What extent people will go for to make money.... i cant say im suprised.... i was kinda expectin this..:rolleyes:

It's a sad case of people will buy anything. My advice is to ignore the maker's gab (you don't really think they're gonna bad-mouth their game did you?), read some reviews, and rent/try before you buy. My brother got it from Blockbuster and completed it in the 2 day rental period. On the other hand, he is a games master.
