Video Business Magazine is reporting that both Wal-Mart and Kmart have decided not to carry Paramount Home Entertainment's Jackass the Movie when it debuts March 25. The decision, according to a spokeswoman for Wal-Mart, was "based on what we believe our customers want." Paramount, for their part, had no official comment. But you can bet that with Wal-Mart's monster buying power, this decision is going to put a serious crimp in the title's sales numbers.

This is ridiculous

pfft.. you will be able to buy it at blockbuster since it is owned by viacom, and viacom also own paramount, they will have it to rent, so you can either get yourself an exrental or you should be able to get it brand new...

unlucky to walmart because now the demand for the movie will increase, and they are giving their market share away, i occasionally read the trades from work (i work in a video store) and market share is one of the most fickle things in the dvd retail industry.. walmart is insane to not try and compete, even though it may not be a big title, it is just an example that you will get more variety elsewhere...

or maybe things are different in the states... you tell me..

Please I never even would go to Wal-Mart or Kmart to get DVD's, selection sucks. I, and I think most movie buyers, go to Best Buy, Circuit City, or Blockbuster to buy my movies.
