Most of you may have seen one of these in your local video arcade :)
<img src="http://home.attbi.com/~taran09/gizmofarkddr.gif">
I am going to go to mine and take a photo of me dancing on ours... my challenge to other ML's is to do the same... show us how skilled you are "cutting the rug" :P I should update this thread in the next couple of days with my picture!!
If you choose not to take a photo on a DDR machine.. I will accept a photo of you dancing in your lounge room.. :P with all the fighting going on, here is your chance to inject a bit of humour in to the forums!! :)

See, I haven't seen one of these in my local arcades... I have to go across town to get my DDR fix. I'll see if I can get a picuture of myself up here. I'm ok at it, I mean, I can do stuff around level 4-5 without too too much trouble. I'm getting a PlayStation/USB converter in a couple days so I'll be able to hook up a dance pad to my PC and play the emulated versions.

We JUST got a new DDR machine. DDR Extreme. Ohh, yeah baby. Sure beats the ONE other machine in the entire city - 3rd Mix Korea Vr1
(Funny thing is, they're pretty much next door to each other and suddenly nobody goes to play 3rd mix anymore. This glow in the dark putting place just lost a ton of cash and they can't understand why :P)
Our new one is at a famous players. In the lobby. So it attracts crowds. (added bonus)
At first we though they might get rid of it because theater 6 was complaining of deep thumping noises but then we talked to the guy
"Get rid of it?! It's a gold mine!! We might get a second!!"
:big grin: I played till my legs hurt. I'll see what I can do about getting a picture :)

Okay, since I think I can see where marcus is taking this... What's everyone's fave mix and song?
I like Extreme, because it has a wide range of stuff, but overall, I think 4th Mix is best(half because of the music, half because the 4th Mix machine gives you 5 songs per dollar as opposed to 3). Favorite song... Captain Jack.

Current Favorite songs:
Rhythm & Police (Standard/Trick)
Dam Dariram (Standard/Trick - full comboing is fun :))
Stomp to my Beat is good
Dynimite Rave on Standard is my new show off song. Still get messed up near the end though :P
But I'll play almost anything with a good beat and not too slow. With our new Ex machine, I've got a lot of exploring to do :D

Nifty trick on the Ex machines: Tap both selection arrow keys at once and it'll change the sort mode for ya. Alphabetical is the easiest way to go through 'em.

i have no idea on which version i danced, but it looks like the one stormwalker stands on, so if there are different designs for each version i played with ddr mix 2.
(edit: just checked the song list on ddrfreak.com, so i found out that it was really mix 2)
fav song: duran duran - the reflex :)
i was suprised that no one watches the people dancing on the machine, although they placed directly behind the windows of the internet cafe on a heavy traffic road with lots of people passing by :)

These games are fantastic. A workout and fun at the same time. Challenged my friend and we bouncing it around for 30 mins. That was our excercise for the next few days. Should have much better songs hopefully in the future. Never liked all those other games were you don't interact with them. Have to find a friend with this game on playstation.
He means: Deutsche (German) Democratic Republic
Yeah, I didn't get it at first either, I thought he meant dance=germany:confused:
Geez, I just realized how stupid that is of me seeing how I lived in Munich when I was little.
