All this talk about comic book movies made me think about a comic book I read when I was in High School, but I can't remeber it's name and I wanted to see if I could buy it again.
The plot was an imaginary tale of what could have happened if Superman had landed on Gotham City instead of Smallville, he was found by the Waynes and eventually became Batman, with superman powers of course. I remember that he became so desperate when they killed his parents that he lost it and started using his heat vision unable to control it.
Anyway, if anybody knows the name of the comic please help. I've been searching around for it but came up empty.

Not saying Marvel cant have done it anyway, just a refection.

I would really love to find this comic, because it sounds like a hell of a read, kinda like the one where it looks at what it would have been like had Kal-El crash-landed on Apokolips, or The Nail, where The Kents get a flat tyre and don't find Clark, instead, he is brought up by Amish people.....anyway, how about asking the people at Wizard, or at Supermanhomepage.com? I'm pretty sure they'd know, or have a bloody good idea of where to start....:)

it is a Superman graphic novel called..."Speeding Bullets" that came out in 1993. Superman falls into the Wayne family and Lex Luthor becomes the Joker. interesting tale. i have a copy of it at home. i forget who wrote it /pencil/ink ... if you want that, i'll add it later on today when i get home....
it is a good story. my favorite was when Bruce Wayne became the Green Lantern. the little stories of interlacing the DC characters into different environments is really cool. very similar to the (now defunct) "What If..." series by Marvel...
