I LOVED half-life but how exactly are they gonna come up with something original after Half Life, Counter Strike, Blue Shift, Opposing Force and all the other mods

I didn't even know that it was coming period. I too loved HL and I'm curious to see what the sequel brings. I just wish Value would finish Team Fortress but I have a feeling it's become vapour-ware.

Half-Life just drew you in. It was great. Best was if the story wasn't spoiled for you - then there are all sorts of emotional parts too.

I've noticed over at PlanetHalfLife that they have posted some scans from the next PC Gamer magazine. I'm not completely sure that these are legit, but decide for yourself :P Seems that Half-Life 2 will be released this year, but who knows. Well, all these wacky rumors should be cleared up by May 14th :)

Those graphics are F****** awesome!!!!!!!!! I swear if it wasn't for the fact that you can see the weapon (like in most shooters) I would think aliens asre invading earth

The guys at ShackNews have managed to get an official statement from Valve Software on the release date of Half-Life 2. Here is word that they got directly from Doug Lombardi of Valve Software:
The previously announced September 30th release date for Half-Life 2 is being pushed back. We are currently targeting a holiday release, but do not have a specific "in-store" date to share at this time. We will release that information as soon as we have confirmed a new date.
