When I get a quicktime trailer...it plays on my computer, but I can't find the actual file to save it...where is it put or how do I download the actual file?

Thanks

Use a download manager like Go!Zilla or Getright. If u use IE to download stuff or Netscape.. right click on the mov link and select Save target to...

To save quicktime files on your PC when u have downloaded them using IE or Netscape, there is alittle button next to the Next button on the right hand side of the window. When u press that a dropdown menu appears and select save to HDD.

SIMPLE!!!

You may also want to check the FAQ here - http://www.geocities.com/trailer_faq/ - to learn how to save trailers that aren't directly linked.

Most of the new apple trailers will link to the page rather than the quicktime file.

you can actually also find trailer(s) in your C:Windows/Temporary Internet Files.
so just copy/move trailer anywhere you want...

I always used to downloaded in the Explorer, then take it out of the Temporary Internet Files folder, but something is wrong now, i search for all *.mov files on the folder and all I get are about three files with a 2 o 3k sizes, even the one that has the name of the movie on it.

and none of it is the movie trailer,
WHERE THE HELL IS IT????????

Here's a quick, easy way.
Take that 3k .mov file (which points to the actual trailer) and open it in NotePad.
In there you will find the actual location of the full trailer.
Enter it in your browser or your favorite downloading program and away you go.

TRAILER_HUNTER -> simply load NotePad & open this 2/3 KB file;
but first you must 'say' open all files, not just TXT files!

open it, but there's no URL for the right site. I can read only this:
notanotherteen_320.mov

& other 5 URL's with different endings:

You use the filename that dosent have a location (notanotherteen_320.mov) and add it to the end of the original location (it replaces the filename of the 3k file)

WHY is that?
I prefer getting the FULL long akamai download links so I can get the QT-file downloaded to my HD.
It isn't possible with new Spiderman and Black Knight entries.
http://www.empiremovies.com/trailers.shtml has the DIRECT links to all new apple trailers. BTW, they have links to 2 movies you haven't linked: Life as a house and Novocaine. Why haven't you added these two?

Apple has asked us not to link directly to the trailers.
I suspect Empiremovies will be contacted by them too.

Hi there.. I tried the method you suggest in the faq but it doesn't work.. I'm trying to get the pearl harbor trailer and the link on this site is dead..

So I went to http://www.apple.com/trailers/touchstone/pearl_harbor.html

and downloaded the 10k .mov file and then tried to view it but I can't see ANY text at all that relates to a filename.. have they gotten smart and made it so that's no possible now? All I want is the trailer.. anyone help on this?

I checked it out and it seems Pearl Harbor is an exception. I haven't seen them use this method for any other trailers.

Interesting.. Well let's hope they don't for other ones or were screwed...

In light of this does anyone have the full high quality quicktime trailer for Pearl Harbour that they could upload somewhere or know a valid link I can get it from?

Much appreciated...
