I emailed Rainbow Studios to get an update on this permanently delayed movie and got the following from Tiffany Scroggins (Affiliated with the studios animation dept, whom sent the original email posted on http://www.movie-list.com/b/blueplanet.shtml)

Here's what she said:

From: Tiffany Scroggins

Thank you for your inquiry regarding "Blue Planet", formerly known as "Deadly Tide". Unfortunately, Rainbow is no longer directly involved with the project and we have no current information as to its future course
of development.

Thank you for your interest and support.
------------------------------------------

Added to this that the links on Movie-list's "Blue Planet" trailer page (see above), are dead...

I would call the project officially dead.
(Bummer, I think...it looked like a good movie)

GOD DAMN IT!

I wonder who has the movie rights now? If they are not going to finish the movie off, i'd like to have the unfinished movie sent to me. OH YEAH
