Okay... I know we all hate ads. But they are necessary to keep websites going.

What I want to know is...

Which ones do you like?
Which ones don't you like?

Any thoughts or questions are welcome.

I HATE POP UP!!!!!!!!!!! the other one.. i don't care

any banner adds in the page... in the page... is all right for me.... having half of the page with adds is all right...

what i dont like are POP-UP :mad: :mad:

pop-up adds have no use at all, coz the tendency is to close it at once, and somtimes when im typing somthing in the forum a pop up comes and all the text i typed have to be repeated.... so annoying

but this b.there.tv add with the model is cool....hehehe

I hate pop-up ads and even more annoying I hate those animated ones that cover up part of the page!!! I'd rather close a pop-up window simply, instead of having one of those annoying flash ads cover up the page. :mad:

I don't mind banners.
But DIE POP-UPS DIE!!!

pop-ups with sound suck the most

u can paste the whole site full of ads... i don't mind... but no pop-ups

I got pop-up killer a few days ago. I find it more anoying than the actual pop-ups. Every time a pop-up comes up, it asks "Would you like to black-list this pop-up"

I mean, THAT'S WHAT I GOT IT FOR!!!! :mad:

OK...the VERY WORST type of ads are NOT pop-ups. Well, atleast for me...

I usually have several internet windows open, as well as WinAmp and maybe MSN. Though I don't remember them here, GameSpy has "movie ads". Whatever they are, you don't know about them until they load, and then you have to search through all the pages and windows until you find the movie and stop it. :mad:

Other then that:
-Shockwave popups
-Any ad that pretends that it's a windows message
-Any ad that tells me I've won something
-Any ad that tells me my computer is not secure/being watched/not downloading fast enough.
-Pop-ups
-Pop-unders

Banners are fine. I can live with pop-ups and even pop-unders. Regular shockwave/flash ads are fine with me as long as they have NO SOUND.

Sound might be one of the worst... :mad:

I agree about the sound... if you ever see ANY sound ads on the site, let me know immediately.
I refuse to run them.

Ads are nessesary, but some are just crazy, annoying and stupid. I hope marketers take a cue from your actions and realise that their message doesn't get across if people close their ads because they're too annoying.

Pop-up adds are not so annoying on the main page when it's the first time you see it. But when you have to go back on the main page on it load again, you'd want to....Anyway, banner are'nt so annoying
