Jean-Pierre Bazinet 05-31-2002, 02:43 PM UGO is our main advertising broker.
Equinox 06-01-2002, 12:57 PM 1600 movies, but there are so many dead links... Especially on thumbnail-size trailers on hollywood.com. Why you are not updating old links with higher quality trailers? In the net there are so many old trailers in DivX format now.
Jean-Pierre Bazinet 06-01-2002, 02:44 PM Dead links are currently at about 15%.
Why aren't dead links updated?
#1 - time. The site takes allot of time to update... adding new trailers, reviews, going through the forums, updating release dates. We are getting to the dead links, but it's slow.
#2 - no new links. The old trailers that are dead aren't available anymore. If they are, I haven't found them. The Classics trailers make up for that a bit, but it costs allot of money to host them. We're pretty much maxing out 2 dedicated servers for the 1 a week that we currently host.
Keep posting/sending in the dead links you find. We'll get to them as soon as we can.
Equinox 06-01-2002, 05:30 PM I actually don't have enough time to find dead links on your site. And to be true, I don't use it anymore as main trailers source. Site was good around 2 years ago, but now it don't covers all new trailers (especially you are ignoring foreign films). That's why I'm using comingsoon.net. It updates more regularly and there are more new trailers.

Jean-Pierre Bazinet 06-01-2002, 08:57 PM Since you're complaining about dead links...
I've never seen Coming Soon add an update about fixing dead links.

Yes I remember your name there :)
Mark Strube 06-04-2002, 12:05 PM Movie-List posts a lot of trailers that aren't listed on Apple.com... I still go to Apple's trailers site since they now list the newest trailers on the left side, but I also come here since many times it lists trailers not there... Movie-List is the best trailer resource.
