Here's the trailer segments taken out of the preview carl posted earlier, but at a much higher resolution. (Sorry about the slight interlacing in parts, but I didn't think it was bad enough to blur the whole thing and wruin the quality just to get rid of.)

thanks....
but whats with the sizes? .. 716 ?
as i understand it hardware playback for sorenso 3 only comes in when standard sizes are used, like 720, 640, 480, 320 .. etc... :)

I think that is wrong about the hardware playback. But anyway, I used 716 because that's the largest resolution I could use without stretching the picture. I had to do some minor cropping on the left and right sides, but why make it so much smaller to 640 just because of that? And if I stretch it back to 720, it really degrades the quality. So I made it 716. ;)

I have to ask this - is there a trailer for The Fellowship Extended Edition?

He is right about hardware playback there. I lose hardware acceleration at weird resolutions (such as 1000 or 716 ;)
And I still don't see the gain in making 716 trailers, but that's just me ;) (and you're not going to prove to me that 716 will be better then 640, because in this case, compatibility is lost. Arguably not better if playback is gittery :P

Well I'm really not out to prove anything, just trying new things.
Anyone having problems with THIS trailer who usually doesn't have problems with 720 trailers?

Right here! :big grin: I have to resize the window, or "double" it for Hardware acceleration to kick in (same thing I had to do with the 1000 pixel wide matrix reloaded trailer. No problem with the 1024 trailer though).

yes, i also get problems with 716 , it seems at this res the video overlay does not work, the picture is rendered in software, so my video overlay settings (brightness, contrast, saturation) on the video card is not applied to trailers of these unusual sizes..
its not really choppy coz the CPU is fast enough, but it kind of sucks when QT player only renders the trailer in software
btw.. Guiboche.... i would love to have Darude Rush album in lossless WMA ...pls :)
Premiere 7 is almost done :)

Gotcha, no more weird widths. ;)

What TrailerGod discribed is exactly what happens to me. Also, tearing occurs (because of no video overlay).
I'll be around later, or this weekend TrailerGod. I need some darn sleep ;)
