even if u know the person or source. The Sobig mass emailing worm/virus is really getting big..

A new version of the Sobig worm virus is going around. The worm counterfeits the EMail adress of the sender. I can see in my inbox that it´s using my adress as well.

EMails with the following subject should be deleted immediately. Don´t open the attachement. Hints to the sender that you got an virus from him don´t help, since the sender adress is bogus.

How about this:

do a mental check - of you get Re: That movie from Joe - think who the hell is Joe and do you remember seeing a movie with him?

as to the email attachments well - don't open unless you know someone is sending you something

Q: Does email scanning pick up hte virus?

heh, I got that email that said Re: That Movie. But I couldn't open the attachment. And to think that upset me at the time. haha

I was getting 200-300 of these per day for the last week or so, until we had it blocked at server level.
Now I don't get them anymore. :)

Oh crap. Now I'll screwed cos I open that Superfriends e-mails you sent to me Chris... oh wait... it seems okaaay... :D ;)
