:)
hehehe i even had to check the walls in my bedroom.. if they were still real walls
:evil:

are the sequels good? or just stupid? after seeing this movie, i then realized how stupid Freddy vs Jason is..lol

so remember kids... its only a dream !!! :evil:

read some interesting trivia's here (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0087800/trivia)

Go straight to Wes Craven's New Nightmare... while you can.

Skip 2-6, watch them after New Nightmare... if you're interested. (Those are for die-hard Freddy freaks only.)

Yes, you didn't listen to editman. WATCH WES CRAVEN'S NEW NIGHTMARE! ;)

I don't know how to describe it, but I'd go as far as saying Wes Craven's New Nightmare is one of the greatest films in not only horror but cinema itself! There is a complete overhearing metaphor that captures evil itself, and shows us where it must remain. (There is also an ongoing thing that actually points the finger right at the MPAA, hehe ;)

It is also the ultimate paradox in storytelling. It wouldn't, shouldn't, and can't work, but does in everyway, because of the way Wes Craven crafted it. I myself haven't seen any other film with a story so caught up in a paradoxed loop, and work all the same.

I'm not going to say anything else. SEE IT DAMN YOU! :P ;)

I've seen all the nightmare films, and if you watch the first film, and skip 2-6, the story still makes absolutely 100% sense (if what I said just made any sense ;)

And I suggest to everyone to see Nightmare 1 and then skip to Wes Craven's New Nightmare. New Nightmare is so good it shattered the relevance of all the sequals behind it. :zorro:

If anything is proven in your quote it's that 4 was crap nand new knightmare was better. :rolleyes:

Oh, and wash your mouth out boy!

That won't prove anything. Just because it's a favorurite among a certain group (say this Forum) doesn't really mean it's good. It can be because a lot of teens who's into crappy scary movies and don't see many other kinds of movies log on and vote on the day the poll is put up.

And yes, by that rationale Michael Bay is way way WAAAAAY much higher on that list than Kurosawa - Criterion even gave Armageddon a royal treatment, while we're still longing for a remaster DVD of Seven Samurai. (Yes that will be the shame of the company forever.) :rolleyes:

True, that is one thing about polls...we're all movie nerds! Sorry, but it's true.

So late in this conversation but since Box Office was being talked about for the Nightmare series... here's how they break down. All from www.boxofficemojo.com ...

$ 25,504,513

A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2: Freddy’s Revenge
11/1/85
$ 2,865,475
$ 29,999,213

A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors
2/27/87
$ 8,880,555
$ 44,793,222

A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master
8/19/88
$ 12,833,403
$ 49,369,899

A Nightmare on Elm Street: The Dream Child
8/11/89
$ 8,115,176
$ 22,168,359

Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare
9/13/91

$ 34,872,033

Wes Craven’s New Nightmare
