Raiders of the Lost Arc is THE adventure movie - definately one my favorite movie to watch just for fun

Saving Private Ryan is my #2 movie of all time (after FC) but is very depressing (but very well made)

I also liked Jurassic Park a LOT

Obviously, I think Spielberg is at his best when he's directing action/suspense. He obviously has talent for drama as well, but there are other directors that have equal or better talents telling a dramatic tale. Spielberg is unmatched when it comes to getting an audience to scoot to the edge of their seats.

i don't know why very few mention Schindler's List.... it's one of the movie powerful movie i have ever seen.. or maybe because most people are not into historical movies..

5) E.T.--because it's a movie I can show my kids & someday, theirs
4) Schindler's List--because I finally understood the Holocaust
3) Saving Private Ryan--because I'm a history major and it's WWII
2) Amistad--because it's important to see that freedom is a universal concept; also, because I believe that this is his most underappreciated, under-rated, and unoticed movie. One of my five all time favorties.
1) Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark (as it is now called)--because it is the ultimate adventure movie by the ultimate movie making team--the most successful director of the last 50 years and the most succesful storyteller of the last 50 years team up for one the all time greatest movies ever created.
