well i dont think the right trailer won.. sure there was nothing really bad about monsters inc, nothing stood out as being horrible, but nothing really stood out as being incredible either. The most revolutionary trailers were voted off early, and in the end, one that was just about average won jsut becuz it stayed under the radar...

What was the final vote count?

YAY!!! Up with Monsters. It must of been close. Movie comes out next year for Australia. Will go see it.

Monsters Inc.'s trailer is, I think, far above average. It wasn't the best one on the list, but it was definitely up there.

Gizmo--I think you're kind of right. No one had any super-strong feelings one way or the other about Monsters Inc...most people, I think, thought it was at least good...and when that happens the studio knows it's done something right.

I am glad that Monsters Inc. won. After going 25 days without getting one vote, I think it deserved to win.

I am Glad Monsters, Inc. won, but it really should have been The Royal Tenenbaums.

When is the next Trailer Survivor.

Real Survivor starts Oct. 11 on CBS. Yes!!!

Congrats to Monster Inc. my two favorite trailer was in the Final so I can't be more happier , I vote Ali to win but it was a win-win situation for me .

I liked the Last Castle too who finish 4th .

I agree... I think the only reason Monsters, Inc. won is because it stay low on the radar.

there were a lot of good trailers on the game, it should have been The Royal Tenenbauns up there, but I was willing to settle for From Hell, after that went on the crapper, i kinda lost interest in the game.

P.S. I will never understand why in the world people voted out Shallow Hal so early, tha5t was a really funny trailer (well except for the part when Jason Alexander quotes Who Let The Dogs Out)

I liked the Ali trailer alot, but Monsters Inc just had a more likeable thing about it. I can't name it excatly.

Monster Inc. is a cool trailer, and while I thought Ali was the classiest and best-made, it's nice to see one of my favorites win.

BTW, just a side note: do you think Lord of The Rings Trailer 2 would have won if it would have been nominated?

I think that if we have a Trailer Survivor 3, Lord of the Rings Trailer 2 should be left out, just so other trailers could have a chance. We all know LotR would run away with it, no contest.

I agree. The new Lord of the Rings trailer is probably the best trailer I have ever seen. It would be like Tiger Woods vs. the field. LOTR would win hands down. I say if there is another survivor, LOTR is left out.

WOW! I'm so happy Monster's Inc won! I was hoping from the start of Trailer Survivor that it would win and thank god it did! I can't wait til the next round of Trailer Survivor starts coz its a really cool idea

What's your favourite scary movie?

I'm so glad my trailer for Monsters won. What you all don't know about this movie is that the trailer doesn't even include the funniest scenes from the film. Two thirds of the movie wasn't completed when we cut the trailer. There is so much funny stuff in this film and if you're a parent you will love the little girl, Boo. Most trailers for comedies show every funny joke in the entire movie but the Monsters trailer doesn't even scratch the surface. Go see this movie! It's great.

In answer to your questions about trailers: I work for a company called Craig Murray
Productions West. We are one of about fifteen trailer companies in Hollywood. Basically
we are movie advertising agencies. The studios give us the entire film (or what's been
done up to that time such as monsters inc.) and a direction (sell it like a comedy, an action
film or whatever) and it's up to us to find the music, write the copy and pick which scenes
to show. It's a lot more complicated than anyone outside the industry knows. Back to our
company we did the trailers for The Mummy Returns, The Fast and the Furious, KPax,
Monsters, The Grinch, High Fidelity, Remember the Titans and many others. Hope this
shines a little light on the subject.
