how do u take screen capture with QT movie files, i tried using print screen but only black comes out, i tried using virtual dub for taking frame captures but it does not read QT files only mpeg or Divx.... any suggestions ..

Goto your Quicktime settings and change Video settings to use Safe Mode.
Then use Print Screen.

It depends on what you want to capture and what final file you going to get. If you are going to perform screen video capture you need a special prog like Screen VidShot (http://www.geovid.com/Screen_VidShot/).

I capture screen shots in QT by pausing the movie on the frame I want to capture, then go to File/Export and enter the location you want to save the .bmp file to. I then convert to .jpg using PhotoEd or some such.
