TV-Shows

What TV-Shows are ya'll favorites? No particular kind, drama, comedy, sci-fi or any else.

Personally I like Third Watch a lot. Good characters and well written.

Boomtown and OZ are very good too, but i havent watched them enough to know if it will hold up in the long run.

Spin City was very good before Micheal J Fox and others left it.

Friends is good too, but feels like its been on too long.

Farscape is/was very well made. Especially third season where Harvy is with a lot.

And i have to admit that southpark is alot of fun, although sometimes their jokes go too far south too long.

So what are your favorites?

Marcus 04-13-2003 08:48 PM

I just finished watching tonights Simpsons....they're still ok but they were much better around season 6.

Malcom in the Middle was good first two seasons too....but I haven't had the time since then...

I liked Futurama & Family Guy but they moved them so many times and now I don't think I even get it anymore. :upset:

Clone High is a current favorite. I've never gotten so attached to cartoon characters  If you've never heard of it, aquire at least the first episode. Amazing....

Samuri Jack is fun Saturday mornings. And I have a thing for 60 minuites. (lol I list almost all cartoons and then news. I never said I was sane now did I?)

:D

24 and Alias are the only shows I actually make some effort to watch. Occasionally I'll watch Malcolm in The Middle, which is maturing quite nicely after some growing pains IMO. Now they Malcolm and Reese are firmly on the elder side of puberty, it's much easier to relate to. I saw one episode of Oliver Beene. Loved it. Futurama, Family Guy... I remember greatness. And that's really it. All I really watch nowadays is 24, Alias and occasionally Malcolm.

radstar 04-13-2003 11:40 PM

editman 02-15-2004 05:03 PM

The Simpsons. Period.

If the show gets cancelled. There is no reasons for the existence of free commercial television to exist anymore.

(I can't believe I've never posted in this bumped thread.)

All you non-North Americans: Who wants to know the ending to all the seasons of these shows, US and Canada are usually 1 season ahead, so If I get mad, I'll start putting in some spoilers...hehe...don't tempt me

[QUOTE=Kn'thrak]oh man... i just have to update my list
[list=1][*]Dead Like Me

That one is realy good. What a saracasm!

Anyway. let me add my TV Shows

Dead Like me is naturaly first and best right now!
Then I remember West Wing as a good one. In fact it's one of best shows around. But then, that's just my opinion.
O.k. Becouse I am fan of Scifi I am counting Stargate:SG1 and of cours it's spin-off Stargate:Atlantis. First few shows are made quite well.
Let's see. Smallville is a Superman legend renewed for a new century. Then it's Startrek univers whit it's latetes spin-off. The show wasn't so good at begining but that changed. The third seson was quite interested even if it didn't show anything new or fresh. And I also won't talk about how characters are played.
That's all folks! :)

Mark Strube 08-02-2004 06:46 AM

ALL the shows my TIVO is set to record... (for most of these I have it set to record new episodes only)

24, The Osbournes, The Sopranos, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Six Feet Under, Da Ali G Show, Entourage, Real Time with Bill Maher, Penn & Teller: Bulls...!, Aqua Teen Hungerforce, Home Movies, Oliver Beene, Malcolm In The Middle, Gilmore Girls, Degrassi, Radio Free Roscoe, O'Grady, Star Trek: Enterprise, Summerland, The Screen Savers, X Play, Unscrewed with Martin Sargent, The 4400, Sex & The City, Last Comic Standing, The Next Action Star, Saturday Night Live, North Shore, The Simpsons, Cracking Up, King Of The Hill, The Simple Life, Quintuplets, Arrested Development, The Days, Trading Spouses, Chappelle's Show, George Lopez, Ebert & Roeper, South Park, and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

2) West Wing
3) Sex and the City
4) Frasier
5) 24 and CSI
6) The Simpsons

I catch Seinfeld, Futurama, The Wonder Years in re-runs when I can.

FlavaFlavsays 11-14-2004 05:45 PM

Scrubs is one of the only shows I still try to watch every new episode when it comes out (and download later)
The Daily Show is where I get most of my news
Family Guy's hilarious (it's coming back baby!)
One of my favorite shows though it Sports Night. It was only on for a couple of seasone, but it was a quality show. I have the whole series on DVD now. At least it let the main character go over to Six Feet Under which is also a good show. I'm catching up on those through downloads too....
