    2005 Blockbusters Movies List

    Lots of terrific movies set for 2005. I wanted to make sure I got all of them down though-

    Feb 18 - The Interpreter - Star Nicole Kidman and will be filmed at the UN Headquarters

    March 24 - Ring 2 - sequel to movie starring Naomi Watts

    April 22 - Serenity - Based on Joss Whedon's "Firefly" TV Series
    April 29 - XXX 2 - starring Ice Cube in a sequel to Vin Disel movie

    June 3 - Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy - Based on hit books by Douglas Adams

    June 17 - Batman Begins - Batman as envisioned by Christopher Nolan
    June 29 - War of the Worlds - Steven Speilberg remake with Tom Cruise

    Aeon Flux - Based on the MTV series - on track if Charlize Theron doesn't kill herself

    BloodRayne - Based on a videogame about a half-human/half-vampire

    The Da Vinici Code - based on best selling books

    Dukes of Hazzard - based on the TV Series - currently signed on are Jhonny Knoxville and Sean William Scott to play the brothers

    The Fast and The Furious 3 - movie dependent on Vin Disel coming back- Paul Walker not likely to star

    The Fountain - Starring Hugh Jackman about a man's quest for immortality of three centuries

    Jurassic Park IV - expect more to be announced after War of the Worlds gets undeway. Speilberg is producing for the 4th movie

    Runelords - based on fantasy novels by David Farland

    Spy Hunter - based on the popular video game and starring the Rock - likely summer 2005 release

    Underworld 2 - sequel to the 2003 movie about a war between vampires and wearwolves

    is War of the Worlds really aimed for summer 2005? sounds a tad fast to me.

    My source for the War of the Worlds release date was scifiwire. Remember that Spielberg is not like George Lucas. He doesn't need a kabillion sfx shots to make his movies.

    I just bought the Firefly box set yesterday and have watched them all already! Can't wait for the movie adaptation 'Serenity' to come out!

    I'm looking forward to Narnia and Hitchhikers Guide. Charlie and chocolate factory looks good too, though not quite what I was expecting from the posters.
