    80's cartoon question

OK, this has been bugging me for quite some time. I remember a cartoon back in the 80's about this kid in school who could turn into a car if his body temperature raised. I remember one episode where he took a hot shower in his house and turned into a red (?) sports car and another where he ate a hot pepper and turned into the same car. Anyone remember this show or the name of it? I have been pulling my hair out trying to think of this. Anyone else seen this cartoon?

    Thanks
