"Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children" and converting swf to avi

There's a great movie coming out to DVD called Final Fantasy VII: Advent Childre

Squaresoft has decided to keep the trailers for the movie on their website (sounds a lot like fruit hint, hint). In a very irritating step, the trailers are in shockwave format. I want to show my internet-less friends the trailers.

How can I convert a shockwave file to avi? I tried a file called swf2avi, but have not had much success.

To undrstand why I want to convert the files, watch them for yourself at:

This is the direct link to the 4th trailer. I didn't manage to play it in IE; I suspect it doesn't have autoplay and must be started from another file...

It is not enough 'I succeed'. Everyone else must fail.

You need to try Flash to Video Encoder. You will get the best quality.

    Question

OK, I tried the flash to video encoder for this flash and I get an error message saying the audio compressor is not supported. Any idea what is wrong?

If you ask your questions to developers, they will explain you everything, I'm sure! Their forum is here: http://www.geovid.com/forum/index.php

    Good luck!

    HI!

I have a problem: a new mov encode from FFVII AC is out (http://movies.apple.com/movies/jp/mo...f7ac_large.mov) ... quality is far better than the wmv version. Problem is: I can't encode it to a mpeg2 with TMPGEnc plus. When I try to load the file, the software says "Can not open or unsupported"! Do you have any clue...?
