WOMEN and film!

I'm currently studying my A - Levels at College and I need some help! I'm carrying out a research on "Women and Film".
I'd like to know what your views are on
....female filmmakers and the industry.
....how do you feel women are portrayed by male/female directors?
.... have you seen any films lately thatyou loved/hated that were directed/produced by a female?
