Poseidon (2006)
A remake of the 1972 disaster classic The Poseidon Adventure, a luxury ocean liner that capsizes from a colossal tidal wave, leaving it's survivors to fend for themselves as they find a way out. The film is directed by Wolfgang Petersen.

I like Peterson...Air Force One, In the Line of Fire, Das Boot...all very good movies. But Perfect Storm was terrible...and Troy certainly wasn't as good as it should have been. I know this is put together by a Marketing team and not Wolfgang himself...but this looks like a big f/x movie...and if that's all it is it's not going to do well at all...especially with DaVinci Code, X3, and MI3 all opening up the same month. Although I like the cast, there's no real star power to pull this movie through that competition.
"34 million American adults are obese. Putting together that excess blubber would fill the Grand Canyon two-fifths of the way up. That may not sound impressive, but keep in mind it is a very big canyon."

This movie reminds me of Titanic movie with tsunami! Reading the description reminded me of Alfred Hitchock's Lifeboat, but I was wrong.

POTC 2 - totally disapointed
M-I 3 - have not found

Looks like this movie will be fun to watch. There hasn't been a good disaster movie for some time. I'm waiting for this one!

I want to see this movie too and I like Wolfgang Petersen ever since I saw Das Boot;
but this movie is released 1 week after the Da Vinci Code and I think it will not do well at the box office because of it!!
