Gallipoli - in December
Source: DVDAnswers
Paramount Home Entertainment has sent over artwork for a collector's edition of Gallipoli which stars Mel Gibson, Mark Lee, Bill Kerr, Harold Hopkins and Heath Harris. This Peter Weir film will be available to own from the 13th December this year, and should set you back somewhere in the region of around $19.99. I'm afraid Paramount hasn't revealed the specs for this one yet, but we'll bring you further details shortly.Last edited by michalz00; 01-18-2006 at 08:25 AM.

Argggghhh, son of a...
I bet the new R1 will be porting some if not all of the R4 SE's features (which aren't that great anyway), or at least I hope so - This is a good film, but not a movie worthy of triple dipping. If the R1 CE includes deleted scenes I'll bloody scream like Mel at the end of the film. (But most likely I'll sell the R4 SE on eBay after making a backup.)
(And the copyright info at the end credits in both R1 & R4 are still altered in both versions. Not that anyone really cares but I do cos that means I still have to keep my VHS tape.)

I like this movie, I think either this or John Waynes Sands of Iwa Jima was one of the first war flicks I saw or its like the one I remember clearly from the past.
Sgt. Johnny Beaufort: He says, "The Apaches are a great race," sir. "They've never been conquered. But it is not well for a nation to be always at war. The young men die... the women sing sad songs... and the old ones are hungry in the winter."
