WOW!! This usually means they are going to get their own Hollywood Star soon!!

I don't know about the handprints outside of the Chinese Theater, but the star is pretty much available to anyone remotely famous who is willing to pay for it. I think the cost is about $35,000, but don't quote me on that. They also have to be approved by a committee, but my understanding is they aren't overly picky. Often movie studios will pay for the stars to help stir up publicity for upcoming movies.
