    Your Home Cinema (pics, specs...)

I found it strange that we´re at movie-forum and there aint a thread about your home cinema setups?

So what home cinema do you have?
LCD/CRT/Plasma TV, Receiver, (HD)DVD/BD Player, Game Console, Speakers ...
    Post pictures please

I´m currently watching movies either on 17´LCD display or 37´ Sony Bravia LCD . I have also CRT television in my room which is 15´, LOL. I watch only news or some TV shows on it anyway.
HB DVD player ... its something like Nintaus. Cheap R-free, bought it when I was about 12 years old
    I have 2.1 Creative speakers.
    Its pretty lame.

Right now I´m buying a new telly (Panasonic TH-46PZ80E). It´s FullHD plasma. I will hook it up with my Playstation 3, which will go through Denon AVR-1908. I will have Mordaunt-Short Alumni 5.1 speaker set with it.

Sony Dav-Dz100, hooked-up to my old 28" Panasonic TV.
Simple but yet I find it very powerful when I watch Return of the King in DTS

I have a 32" Plasma TV from Vizio, a Magnavox DVD-R/VCR combo, and an Awia 3-CD changer/radio/cassette/audio system. Nothing particularly impressive or fancy, but I like it. Sure beats the 19" analog TV we had before.

Well, you said you wanted pix, so here is one.

Our new TV is on top. The old TV is below and is currently being used as a video surveillance camera monitor.

    Nice, michalz!

Now just don't let the people at AVS freak you out about the rising black levels in Panasonic plasma's (they're overly dramatic about it... at least when it comes to the model I have)...

I'll take some pictures and post my set up in the coming days. But here's what I have:

Panasonic TH-58PZ800u (58" THX Certified plasma)
Yamaha HTR-5990 ("7.1" THX Certified receiver... though I'll be upgrading to the Onkyo TX-NR808 next month for full 7.1 sound instead of just Pro-Logic IIx and I'll be able to let the receiver do the audio decoding instead of the player)
    Sony BDP-S1 and Sony PS3 Slim (250gb)
    Klipsch Synergy F2's, C1, and 4 S1's
and for bass 2 Yamaha YST-SW315's

I still have the same HT system I posted 2 yrs ago.

    I hardly use it.

It's easier to just watch everything on a PC or the regular 40 inch downstairs

I have this set for 2 months now. Didn't notice any rising black levels yet... But they freaked my out about other stuff like Floating Blacks and Buzzing Noise Now I know that AVS Forums = Much Ado About Nothing

The picture on the set is great. Especially movies in THX mode Very happy with it.

Yeah on mine I actually did notice the increase, but it's still better than 98% of the sets out there now lol... Luckily the floating blacks thing isn't an issue on mine (supposedly 2010 models suffer from it the most). Either way though, AVS will blow anything like that way out of proportion. I had my set for like 8 months and then the black level increase talk started and people just went insane about it.
