    Archiving...

I usually archive my .mov on CD-Rs. Since I bought a DVD Burner this year I'd like to use DVD-Rs as storage. Unfortunately I can't find a program that just burns data onto DVDs. Any freeware or shareware recommendations?

what software did you receive with your DVDR ROM?
I use Nero which I think is the best because its very simple to use. If you want more technical burning, try Alcohol 120%.

Both aren't free but have sharewares available to try.

Alcohol 120% is one of the best programs out there, I love it, loads of specialized features (such as image mounting and creation, game copy protection workarounds) but I still use Nero for down n dirty burning.

    So I DL'd Alcohol & Nero.

Alcohol I couldnt find a data-DVD option anywhere. Turns out I demo'd Nero before and can't use that either. Any other options beyond buying Nero?

So I found my free answer... iTunes burns QT files to DataDVDs. And pretty quick too.

    CDBurner XP Pro

Hi. I have read something about CDBurner XP Pro. It is free but I have not used it, so you will need to try by yoursefl.

    - CDBurner XP Pro, a free program to burn CDs and DVDs in various formats except double-layer DVDs (home, features, download).

I think I´ll stick with Nero, have the newest version and honestly it does much more than I need. New version has very extended abilities of burning, but with working and storing of multimedia files too. No way of switching to some other program
