    The word is spreading quickly online that New Line Cinema has released the 'new' poster for The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. Although it's definitely a cool-looking poster (see below), the studio has informed us that it is NOT the upcoming theatrical poster as many outlets are reporting. What you see below is a promotional poster created by a licensee for the studio, so we'll have to wait a bit longer for the official theatrical poster.

    Anyone else think this poster is a rip-off of the Planet of the Apes poster? Same warriors with helmets, same style of holding the weapons, and the exact same positioning of the warriors. The only difference is they changed the color from blue to green.

    Yes, but this is a scene from the opening battle in 'The Fellowship' movie - the Last Alliance armies Vs the armies of Mordor.
