Question Anyone seen The Punisher (2004) ?

I watched the Punisher (2004) last night.

    I give it 4 out of 5.

I quite enjoyed it and I don't understand why it flopped at the box office.

Would love to see a sequel!!

    Anyone here seen it?

What do you think of it?

There were some moments but in the end seemed very badly thrown together, doesn't capture the mood of Punisher and seems very low budget.
HOWEVER Tom Jane is the perfect Punisher, what a great casting decision, he was great. And I liked that Johnny Cash type character, but they never went anywhere with that story line.
So for the sake of Tom Jane, 1.5/5

Bad movie. Didn't show Punisher as the character he should be. Even Payback with Mel gibson did a better job of creating a character like punisher, even if also that character is a bit of the mark.

Agree with Shark on the casting comment though

I like the punisher remake, good action for sure.
But the end ruins it somehow, really badly done.

Also the so romantic scenes in the middle of the movie, feel misplaced.

j7wild, if you like the punisher comic, you might want to check out the original comic adaption with Dolp Lundgren released ~20 years ago. The Unrated version got release a few month ago .
