Anyone seen "The Innocents" (Deborah Kerr 1961)

I just watched this last night on DVD for the first time in my life:

I have a question for those who seen it?

the 2 scenes where Miles kiss Miss Giddons and then at the end when Miss Giddons kisses Miles, both kiss were mouth to mouth, and Miles being a 12 year old boy, wouldn't that be controversial then and today too?

There was so much controversy lately about the movie "Birth" with Nicole Kidman because of a scene in the movie with Nicole and a boy both naked in a bathtub.

Wouldn't this fall under the same thing?

I was a bit shocked and surprised when I saw those 2 scenes in "The Innocents"!!

Sorry man, older movies just don't do it for me. Star Wars is about as far back as I'm willing to go
