    I see this somehow predictable.

Surprises (little): Babel as drama, Cohen - actor in comedy, score and maybe Eddie Murphy (but I didn't see this).

Now, after this award and probably Oscar nominations, I'm sure it will return to wide release (at least bigger than actual 173 theatres). Maybe 1,251 theaters, as in it's 3rd and 4th weekend.

I was a little surprised that Babel won as I think the audience did as well last night. Was it just me or was there's a brief moment of stunned silence? I was thinking The Departed or The Queen would have won.

I'm off today and figured it be great to go catch a movie. I want to see Letters From Iwo Jima but it's only playing at two theatres and both are in downtown Toronto. After winning last night I'm interested in seeing Babel and it's only playing downtown as well.

I'm hoping Letters gets a little more of a wide release and isn't relegated to the "art house" theatres.
You're waiting for a train, a train that will take you far away. You know where you hope this train will take you, but you can't be sure. But it doesn't matter - because we'll be together.

Absolutely. He played several roles in the Back Adder series. Many people who watch him in House M.D. are very surprised when they find out that he is also a great comedian... In fact, he is better known for his comic roles, at least in UK and the rest of Europe.

When you see him in Black Adder you won't believe that it's the same guy who plays House.

Photos bellow show Hugh Laurie in...

... Blackadder the Third as George, Prince of Wales, Prince Regent

... Blackadder Goes Forth as Lt. the Honorable George Colhurst St. Barleigh
