I think the Kate Bosworth and Ron Howard nominations are a little harsh.

Big Momma's House 2 wasn't that bad. Neither was Poseidon.

I haven't seen Little Man (thank god), but Bloodrayne really did suck.
If you can stay calm, while all around you is chaos...then you probably haven't completely understood the seriousness of the situation.

Why does everyone hate Basic Instinct 2? Along with the deleted scenes it was by far the best written pornographic film I've ever seen.

how come the Covenant didn't get nominated?

    this movie is so bad not only I wouldn't give it a 0 out of 5 rating (that would be too generous);

it's also the only movie I walked out of in 2006!!

"Basically It Stinks Too" - I love it. Pretty clever.

I noticed that Lady in the Water got a lot of nominations. I wonder how that is sitting with Mr. Egomaniac.
You're waiting for a train, a train that will take you far away. You know where you hope this train will take you, but you can't be sure. But it doesn't matter - because we'll be together.

    Razzies Story excerpt from CNN:

    (John Wilson is Razzies founder)

...The big surprise for Wilson was that all-time Razzies champ Sylvester Stallone's "Rocky Balboa" was not nominated. Stallone, who has 30 Razzie nominations and 10 wins, surprised many skeptics by delivering a sequel that was well received by audiences and earned better-than-expected reviews.

"At the first of the year, you could not have convinced me it wasn't going to be a Razzie contender," Wilson said. "I would like to publicly say that Stallone has made a good movie."

Granite! I'm happy that Sly didn't get the nomination. Like Wilson said: Stallone has made a good movie

Yeah, the Covenant was pretty lame. I'm all for movies about people with special powers. But throwing around what looks like globs of water gets old after a while.

Still, Laura Ramsey was pretty cute. She was also in the movie She's The Man. Not...that I... watched... never mind.

The Covenant was so bad. Even people, who gives Razzies, don't know anything about this movie

I have only seen one movie on that whole list (and have only seen about six movies from 2006).

OK, I admit that Kate Bosworth was a bit weak in Superman Returns, but I can't imagine that there were only four performances as bad or worse to the point where that is nominated as the worst performance of the year. If so, then the movie industry must really be improving a lot.

They must do something controversial, that's all. That's why Kate get the nomination.

I just don't get how Ron Howard was even mentioned in the Razzies.
