Academy Awards Nominations !!

Even though it is a very good movie I found Click being Nominated for Oscar kind of funny.

I hope Superman Returns wins for Best Achievement in Visual Effects.
which will make up for the loss Batman Begins suffered last year.

I hope Pirates of the Caribbean wins in all its Nominated categories
excluding Visual Effects due to the above statement.

Casino Royale didn't get nominated for anything!!

Should had gotten at least one of the following:

Editing, Special Effects, Sounds, Cinematography, or even Best Original Screenplay!!

1. Academy don't like Bond.
2. not Best Original Screenplay, because Casino Royale is based on first novel about James Bond, written by Sir Ian Fleming.

What do you guys think? Will Martin Scorsese win this time? Maybe Clint will get another one to his collection

BTW: I'm happy for Apocalypto (hope it will get best Make-Up) and Kate Winslet (maybe this time!)

Oh no! Not Clint. Martin will be good choice (at least). Kate have no chance. Hellen Mirren is almost 100% favorite.

somewhat dissapointed with the little attention Laberinto del Fauno, El is getting. Can you even compete against that movie?

I'm thinking about some contest with oscar predictions, but you know... vbet only J-P can make. Maybe how many Oscars can get some favorite movie?

I'll try do something like that. Maybe great contest, about predicting in some (like 15) categories, but if someone wants to play, must bet some vbux. What do you think about it?

For example: 15 (or like that) categories, 50000 vbux entry (sounds like Casino Royale play ), and the winner (someone who will predict most of the categories correct) take it all...?

My proposition is: 50,000 from every player (we have a lot of members who have more than 50k ) plus some vbux from J-P as extra award (what do you think J-P?). I want take a part in this contest (I hope i can ), but I can give some more vbux than this 50k. That will be more than million to get!

you know - I haven't seen ANY of the films that have been nominated for anything. EXCEPT..... Borat. And I am in shock that got nominated. It has to be the same academy member that pushed through "it's hard out here for a pimp".
