    WinRar is OK, but it apparently costs $29. A better alternative for Windows systems might be 7-zip, which handles RAR files just fine and is 100% free (my favorite price). 7-zip also opens 7z, ZIP, GZIP, BZIP2, TAR, CAB, ISO, ARJ, LZH, CHM, Z, CPIO, RPM, DEB and NSIS.

    I might be wrong about WinRAR. I'm not on my Windows computer, so I can't install it and find out. But I did see this page on their site, which seemed to imply that it wasn't free: http://www.win-rar.com/125.html?prod=winrar

    But as I said, I may be wrong about that.

    Or ZipGenius suite, that supports a lot of formats, even some CD/DVD images (home, download)
