anything with Ben Afflect or Jennifer Lopez in it.

anything written or directed by John Carpenter, Wes Craven or Clive Barker (since 1990 - some of their earlier stuff is ok)

any of the movies from 'i know who you blew last summer', 'scary movie', 'scream' series ...

Annie Hall - Worst movie to EVER receive best picture (I have never like anything by Woody Allen btw)
Hostel - WTF! It's not even remotely scary or disturbing, just sick!
Anything by Uwe Boll (This should explain itself)
Psycho Remake - Why oh why was this made???

Can't think of anything else right now, maybe later.

Anyways the worst small-budget film I ever saw was "Agent Red" and the worst big budget movie was "Battlefield Earth."

I'm going to get blasted for some of these, but you asked, so here they are in no particular order.

Some of my worst movies are:
    * Making Contact (saw that one in junior high... only making fun of it with my friends made the movie remotely tolerable)
    * 2001: A Space Odyssey (the effects were great, but even after reading the book, I still had no clue what was happening, and it was ssssoooooo ssssssllllllllllooooowww)
    * Dead Poet's Society (the first time I was really tempted to walk out of a movie theater... I tried watching it again recently and I still couldn't sit through it)
    * The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (the only other time I was tempted to walk out of the theater... the walking topographical video map of Middle Earth just didn't hold my attention at all)
    * Batman and Robin (Had anyone associated with that move ever actually read a comic book?)

There are probably others, but those are the ones that I can think of off the top of my head.

    amadeus
    larry flynt
    man on the moon
and to the bottom of the barrel
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest(why jack :/)

movies that can easily top the list of the worst directions/scripts ever created in the history of mankind

i wonder how good is his new movie goya's ghosts
honestly dont want to see it (i like portman and Skarsgård too much to ruin them)

Not the worst movies list, just the movies that I was really disappointed with:

Hannibal - I had such a great expectations... I hated the story, acting, direction... etc. Ridley Scott can make a really horrible movie from time to time.

LOTR - The Fellowship of the Ring - from the same reasons as Corfy. Now I like it but I was bored to death in cinema

A very recent major dissapointment was Eragon, that movie was crap. I have some others in mind but I have to think about those first.

probly the wrong thread for this (and a pretty boring topic to discuss) but since u seem interested here u go: die hard 3 and 1 (probly add red october somewhere in between)

    anyway back to the topic

north by northwest - never was a fun of Hitchcock but that has to be the stupidest of all his movies
eyes wide shut - neither Kubrick but god damn that was the worst

A NOT Beautiful Mind award goes to Ron Howard a director that recently managed to raise high the standarts of BAD direction / acting / etc. This guy surprize with his effort to make movies for not higher than 4-year olds
its seriusly difficult to deside whats worst :

The Da Vinci Code (worst book adaptation ever award)
Ransom? (worst gibson movie ever award)
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (omg award)
Apollo 13 (why tom why play in this oscar crap)
Far and Away (worst kidman movie ever award?)
A Beautiful Mind (best stereotype oscar movie ever award)
k i am not gonna bother with the rest its boring enough

now those are some god damn hard earned awards

edit: this is amazing some1 said he is an artisan but not an artist

no kidding. why is it that one of the most magnificent creatures ever imagines could never get a decent movie. Dungeons and Dragons, Dragonheart, D&D2, Eragon ... geez. but, Eragon was at least a little better than D&D1 and 2. funny how Jeremy Irons was in both though ....
