Post "Children of Dune" miniseries to screen in March!

That's right. The 6 hour minseries which premiered on the sci-fi channel in December 2000 has another 6 hour mini following it.

The sequel, which is to be called 'Children of Dune' will combine Frank Herberts novels Dune Messiah and Children of Dune into another epic miniseries.

Actors Alec Newman, Ian McNeice Julie Cox and Barbara Kodetová will replay their roles as Paul Atredies, Baron Harkonen, Princess Irulan and Chani. This time they will be joined by special guest star Susan Sarandon.

The epic is currently labeled 'in production' bu was rumoured to have started fimling in Feburary for a March 2003 screening and avideo\dvd release, as well as an international release to soon follow.

I don't know about all of yous, but I can't wait. I loved the first one.

True, it was a bit slow. And part 2 could have gone for 30mins i think. I think this will be better. Log on to the website for more.

I like the movie, altough Lynch has put a tad too much of his own style in it. Another director would have been to prefer. But its still an good movie =)

I haven't actualy seen the old one for quite some time. I can't remember it all that well. I will have to see it again. But I still think the miniseries was better.

Uh. Actually I have avoided seeing the Dune miniseries, cause I consider Lynch's version of Herbert's book an almost perfect classic. I guess I have seen the flick a dozen times or so ... so is the series any good?

And regarding the characters in Dune ... Alia, for me, was always the creepiest one ...
