I just wanted to drop in and say I am out of the forum for a few days. I have one shared computer with internet access, and my time with that is limited, so I can't spend much time taking up the computer (I have my own computer but no access).

Saturday around noon, my mother-in-law had a severe stroke. She has been in a coma ever since (man, was that just two days ago? seems like weeks). The doctors say there is no chance of recovering or surviving this particular type of stroke, and that it isn't a question of "if" but "when". She is now in a Hospice facility for terminal patients, but other than make sure she is comfortable, there isn't much that can be done at this point.

I know you are familiar with the proverbial in-laws, but that isn't the case here. I'm very close with my mother-in-law and father-in-law. I am closer to them than I am to my own parents. She is going to be very missed.

I just wanted to let you know where I was.
