But then, I have only played two of those games, and I never owned any of them.

Speaking of which, I remember one of my friends got his copy of SuperMario 2 shortly after it was released. I was there when he first played it. He unwrapped the package, tossed the book aside, popped in the cartridge, and started the game. The first time he came across one of those "walking loaves of bread", he jumped on it... and the "bread" kept walking with him standing on it. "I guess I need to read the instructions", he said.
