Saw the original film (upon the high recommentdation of our long-time member tisoy, aka trailergod, when he was still active). As much as I admire the brilliance of its unconvetional play on the genre and hence the audiences' expectation, the bitter taste of being cheated as an audience without a remotely satisfactory resolution rejects the film from my favourite pile.

From the look of it seems like yet another faithful English remake of foreign films from the Warner Bros stable. What I can't understand is why Heneke would agree to remake his own film in English. Unless he brought something new into the remake which isn't shown in the trailer, the original is as good as it is. And considering the remake is released under the WIP label it's not like it'll be playing in mainstream theatres anyway. So what's the point.

BTW if anyone has a problem DLing with the above 'direct link', just change 'rtsp' to 'mms'.
